The birth of a baby is such a special time and capturing that time is not a new concept. Much like Wedding photography in its documentary style birth and fresh 48 photography is totally unposed and follows the flow of the room catching raw emotions into images to treasure a lifetime. There is often a misconception on what birth photography entails but ultimately it is about recording the special first moments with your baby as often these can unwillingly be forgotten. Each client will complete a questionnaire which outlines what you do and don't want so no need to panic if you want 'PG rated' images only, everything can be tailored to your needs. There is also the option to have images that capture those first cuddles after your little one has arrived by booking a 'Fresh 48' session designed to be taken within the first 48 hours of your little one's life.
Birth Photography - £520
Birth photography is such a special art form that captures so much more than what is going on. Little glances, touches and tears that would often go unseen and get forgotten can be treasured for long after your little one arrives. I am able to come to your homebirth or hospital birth taking the place of your second birth partner.
As your photographer I have also undertaken birth support training and am also a mother myself. I am aware of what may affect your labouring progress and have also completed hypnobirthing lessons. These extras mean I can be an asset during such an important time and if required help you keep focused and relaxed. However, as I have been there myself I also know when to disappear into the woodwork and become a fly on the wall. An indepth discussion of what you do and do not want during your special time will happen way before you are due and we will build a relationship based on openness and trust.

Fresh 48 Session - £65
Taking place at the hospital during visiting hours or your home a fresh 48 session is lifestyle photography like no other. It captures those very first hours with your new baby in a natural, unposed and free flowing way. It is lovely to remember those first visitors as they meet your baby for the first time or capture you little one still in their post birth hat. These images truly are special and and capture all of those first moments post birth.
Your session fee includes;
+ A 50 minute session at hospital or your home (visitors, partners and siblings welcome)
+ Guaranteed availability within the first 2 days of your baby being born
+ One complimentary image as a digital file that can be used to make your birth announcement
+Private online viewing gallery of your professionally edited images to view in the comfort of your own home
IMPORTANT Please note
*All sessions (bar birth and fresh 48) carry a minimum spend of £80 on image products. When making this order you can also select your complimentary 8” x 10” Premium Print of choice.
*Any locations you wish for me to attend outside of Macclesfield will incur a fee of 0.48p per mile just to cover expenses however my time is not charged.
*A deposit is due to secure your booking with the remaining session fee due on or before the day of your session.
*The minimum order price of £80 plus 50% of any additional investment is due when making your order at your private viewing and ordering appointment with the rest due at or before collection of your products.
